Quick verdict: This one worked out well for me. I wanted a 36-inch stainless under-cabinet hood that matched the kitchen, moved enough air for normal cooking and did not make the remodel more complicated than it needed to be.
The hood I bought was the Broan Mantra 36-Inch stainless range hood with a 350 MAX blower CFM rating and a listed 1.5-sone sound level. It has been a good fit for the kitchen and I like the way it works.

Why I Chose a 36-Inch Hood
My range is 30 inches wide, but I liked using a wider hood over it. The 36-inch hood gives the cooking area a little more visual width and works well with the cabinet layout.
What I Like About It
The biggest compliment I can give it is that I do not spend time thinking about it. It fits the kitchen, the stainless finish works with the other appliances and the hood does the job I bought it to do. That is what I wanted from this part of the remodel.
I also preferred a conventional under-cabinet hood rather than turning the vent into a major design feature. It keeps the kitchen looking clean and leaves the attention on the cabinets and countertops.
Installation Matters
The hood itself is only part of the installation. Duct size, the route to the exterior and the electrical connection all matter. My setup uses round ducting, so I made sure the vent path was planned before the cabinets and hood were treated as finished.
Would I Buy It Again?
Yes. It has worked well for what I wanted: a clean stainless hood with useful ventilation and no unnecessary complication.
Worth It Scout takeaway: Worth it for my kitchen. It looks right with the stainless appliances, works well and did not require me to turn the range hood into one of the most expensive pieces of the remodel.
